Karen is the Vice President of Asia Pacific on Google’s Global Partnerships team, which is designed to help partners, their ecosystems, and Google thrive. The team builds meaningful relationships that power extraordinary user experiences, advance partners’ goals and further Google’s mission. Karen joined Google in July 2023 and has a passion for creating mutually beneficial strategic relationships that result in strong impact for users. She is also a big advocate of diversity, equity, and inclusion work. Outside of work, she enjoys gaming and testing new gadgets, often backing new consumer tech, Indie watches and sometimes invests and advises startups.
Prior to Google, Karen spent over 9 years as Meta’s APAC Global Business Group Vice President (the company’s first female Southeast-Asian VP), enabling businesses of all sizes to drive discovery, growth, and long-term value on Meta’s family of apps. She was also the Global Exec-Sponsor for the Pride ERG in Meta. Before that, she spent four years leading the Meta APAC Games team, growing it to a billion-dollar regional organization. She previously spent 10 years in the games industry working with industry key players like Blizzard, Xbox and Take Two Interactive where she took on roles from marketing to partner management to business development with gaming studios.
