CEO

James is the CEO of Lightning International and has over 25 years of experience working at the BBC, Bloomberg, ITV Studios as well as Lightning. He has a wide background ranging from on-air presentation, programming and engineering to production, distribution sales, and marketing. James launched Lightning in 2011 as a content solutions company with a focus on creating and distributing TV channels, programmes, and formats. Lightning also offers technical and managed services including playout, and strengthened its capabilities by joining the AsiaSat family in 2023.

 

Lightning first launched a package of FAST channels in 2019. Now 20+ channels are carried on numerous FAST platforms around the world, including Samsung TV+, Amazon Prime, Fetch TV, Foxtel, LG TV Plus, Mediacorp, myTV Super, Rakuten, TCL, and many others. These channels are fully curated by Lightning to broadcast standards and are available worldwide. They include channels such as NOW 70s/ 80s/90s00s, and NOW Rock, Action Hollywood Movies, RCM, Pulse Wildlife, Pet Club TV, Trace Urban, Trace Sport Stars, Docsville, Concerto TV, hi Life!, hi Drama!, Boat Show, Samurai vs Ninja, NewsWorld and Globetrotter.
