Gaurav Gandhi leads Prime Video across SVOD, TVOD, and add-on subscriptions in the APAC and MENA regions. His remit spans some of Prime Video's biggest international locales, including Japan and India, alongside emerging territories such as Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, where he focuses on establishing Prime Video as the preferred entertainment destination. Since joining Amazon in 2018 as the Country Head for Prime Video India, Gaurav has doubled down on tentpole original content, pioneered the expansion of Prime Video’s content portfolio in 10 languages reaching audiences in 99% of India’s pin codes, in addition to building a video entertainment marketplace with add-on subscriptions and India’s largest Movie Rentals (TVOD) library, as well as worldwide-first initiatives like Prime Lite.

 

Under his stewardship, Prime Video Japan maintains its position as the leading SVOD service, becoming the go-to destination for anime, the latest Japanese movies, super-successful unscripted and scripted IPs, and now premium sports offerings. He’s also led the substantial growth of Prime Video’s marketplace business that features over 70 add-on subscriptions and 300,000+ TVOD titles.
