Angela Tanoesoedibjo started her career in the government sector in October 2019 as the Vice Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia. At the time of her appointment, Angela was the youngest Vice Minister in the Indonesian Cabinet at 32 years old.

 

She founded a publishing company in 2008 which she acted as the Editor-in-Chief. In 2013 she expanded her career to retail business with international multi-brands under her portfolio while co-managed the largest Indonesian pay-TV business. In 2014, Angela started her career in the free-to-air business as the Managing Director of Global TV. She then successfully rebranded and led the TV station into the top 5 terrestrial TV stations in the nation.

 

Her excellent record brought her to a new position as the Managing Director of RCTI, the biggest terrestrial TV station in Indonesia. She led their digital transformation and launched an entertainment super app in 2019.

 

In 2023, Angela was appointed as Asian Paragames Chef de Mission, where she led 130 Indonesian National athletes to participate in Asian Paragames 2023 in Hangzhou China. Under Angela's leadership Indonesia secured Top 6 position, exceeding the achievement target. In addition, the Indonesian contingent also managed to break 13 records, eight Asian Para Games records, three Asian records, and two world records.

 

As the Vice Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Indonesia, she oversees national projects, including several national economic recovery programs for the tourism and creative economy industry, particularly for the hotel, film, culinary, crafts, and fashion sectors.

 

After completing her duties in the government sector, Angela assumed the role of CEO of Inews Media Group in December 2024. Under her leadership, Inews Media Group has grown stronger as the most comprehensive and integrated media group, producing content across news, sports, business, and lifestyle.

 

Within the MNC Group ecosystem, Angela also serves as Co-CEO MNC Group, President Commissioner of MNC Kapital and Chairperson of MNC Peduli.
